What
they say:
As soon as Little G. steps on the stage you cannot help watching him. he sings with all
his body and straining every nerve. He expresses his emotions in a very individual way. He
has a special relationship with his guitar ( writers may have a similar relation with
thier pens ): Little G. doesn't use over rehearsed licks and doesn't want to call interest
to his fast technique. On the contrary, he sometimes plucks the strings for several
minutes, meditating as he was talking with his guitar." Mister Magazine, Hungary, 2003
Little white boy with a black soul. Fantastic! " WDIA Radio, Memphis, TN, 2005
Little G. has an amazing way of making people feel his music." E. G. Kight, 2007
Little G. Weevil a young blues
guitarist, singer and songwriter based in London, England. He was born in1977 and began
playing the guitar at the age of 17. He was introduced and captivated by the Blues scene
through listening to the legendary Blues musician John Lee Hooker. " John Lee Hooker
and his Blues was for me like my grandfather and the tales he used to tell. When i first
heard the songs Hobo Blues and the I Never Get Out Of This Blues Alive I thought to myself
God, I am part of this, I feel it, I belong to this. " Ever since Little G. started
his Blues career he has focused solely on the Southern Blues and this can be clearly heard
in his playing style. |
He
established his own touring band in 1998. With his deep powerful voice and his ability to
become one with his guitar, attention focused upon Little G. very early in his career. He
released his first single CD ( Chump Change ) with his band Pure Blues in 2001. After 3
years touring succesfully within Europe Little G. released his first album ( One ) in
2004. In the same year he relocated to the South of the United States where he became the
very first European Blues musician to receive a long-term contract on the legendary Beale
Street, Memphis, TN. Little G. has
performed on numerous occasions in Beale Street's famous Blues clubs and has toured in the
States of Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas. He has performed at one of the world's most
